The association Suokjang is founded in 1985 by Steve and
Ella Zondag with Frans Tupamahu, with the objective of providing
taekwondo training and promoting taekwondo in general, within the
Netherlands and beyond.
The main
basis for the creation was that Suokjang should be accessible to
such
a broad group, without distinguishing between colour,
religion, education,
ethnicity
or age.
This is well succeeded in recent years .
At Suokjang all members treat each other friendly, sporty
and with respect.

In addition, each member Suokjang can make the choice to practice
taekwondo as recreation or as a competitive sport.
In recent years, Suokjang has delivered many black belt
members, now almost fifty.
In addition, interested members can develop to an
assistant teacher, teacher or referee.
These courses are provided by the Dutch Taekwondo Association (NTA), the
semi-contact (ITF) taekwondo federation to which Suokjang is
connected.
Since 1985 Suokjang provides very successful
competition-taekwondoka's, a large number of members provided great
performance on the contestmat.
Also technically Suokjang is highly recommended.
Head
Teacher Steve Zondag, 7th dan, is a member of the National
Dan-degree College.
